Please note that Cathie Cains, Sharon Plant and Angela Munoz will all be working part time this year due to all being long term employees and owed a lot of leave.

Jessica Martin will also be taking May 2021 off to finally attend her covid delayed wedding.

As always, our accountants will be attending numerous training courses over the coming months to ensure that we are all up to date with the latest developments.

General Assistance, Tax Planning, BAS, FBT & Tax Returns

We encourage clients to get in touch with us and have a chat to let us know how you are going, discuss any possible changes, concerns and so on. We are here to listen and help point you in the right direction to ensure that you have all the information necessary to make decisions.

We are already assisting a number of clients with restructures (Due to a change in direction because of Covid, growing, downsizing, etc). We have also assisted a number of clients become more electronic in particular with their financials, inventory management etc, which once implemented has helped them to streamline processes and save time and money.

Staff have been following up a number of clients who have still not submitted their information to have 2020 completed. It is important that you get this in ASAP. Some of these clients are already overdue and others are due 2 March 2021.

The coming months staff will be very busy with BAS, tax planning and FBT.

Dec Quarter BAS

It is now time to prepare Dec Quarter BAS, Please submit your information to our offices to ensure that your BAS is completed and lodged on time.

Bookings for Tax Planning

We are now scheduling in Tax Planning appointments for all clients who would like us to review their files, provide a written report, meet and discuss a plan going forward. Cathie and Jess from our office will be in touch with those clients who have previously indicated that they would like tax planning. 

If you would like tax planning and had not previously let us know, please ensure you have let Cathie know by calling 07 55965758 or emailing cathiec@plantandassociates.com.au Jessicam@plantandassociates.com.au  so that they can schedule you in. 

Tax Planning is a lengthy process so we need to ensure we allocate time in the relevant staff diaries. For clients not wanting the full tax planning process and just after a general meeting to discuss where they are at and their intentions for the future, the cost will be charged pro rata of the hourly rate $330.

SmartVault Verification Codes Vs PandaDoc Access Codes

Remember, PandaDoc and SmartVault are two separate programs. If SmartVault has sent you a verification code, this is to verify that this is actually you that is trying to access your vault. The six digit codes that SmartVault sends when you sign in to your vault are to prove that whoever is logging into the vault is associated with that email address. You’ll be issued a new verification code each time you try to sign in to the vault. This is a one-time code can be deleted once you’ve successfully logged into the vault. You don’t need to keep this code.

PandaDoc Access codes are sent to protect a document that we’ve sent you that requires signing. If you receive a PandaDoc email that asks for an Access Code, check your inbox and junk folders for an email from one of our staff. The subject heading will usually be “Access Code – PandaDoc”. A lot of the time the Code at the beginning of the PandaDoc document title will be the access code. If you get stuck or the code has expired, please give us a call and we will assist you over the phone.
